Health Procurement Africa was honoured to participate in the Kenya Partners Convening hosted by the Gates Foundation Africa. The convening brought together partners from government, academia, the private sector and civil society, creating a valuable space for collaboration and shared reflection.
Discussions focused on the evolving global health funding landscape, acknowledging increasing fiscal pressures and a more constrained financing environment. Despite these challenges, there was a strong and unified commitment around what matters most: improving outcomes for mothers and newborns and reducing preventable deaths.
We were particularly encouraged by the examples of locally driven innovation and cross-sector collaboration showcased throughout the convening. These initiatives reaffirm Kenya’s leadership in advancing sustainable health and development outcomes and highlight the power of locally led solutions in addressing complex health challenges.
As Health Procurement Africa, our mission remains clear. We are committed to strengthening health systems by improving procurement practices and ensuring access to essential health commodities. Convenings such as this are critical in fostering meaningful partnerships, aligning efforts and scaling impact in response to changing global dynamics.
We value the continued collaboration with our partners and the shared commitment to strengthening health systems and advancing maternal and newborn health outcomes in Kenya. Together, through partnership and innovation, we can continue to drive lasting impact where it is needed most.
